New Champ Select Issue; invited players not queued with you.

I had gotten a dodge from queuing up solo. I had to decline an immediate ready check to invite a friend. Afterwards, I had invited him. And I should have noticed something was off when he didn't show up on my screen but successfully took my invite. I had gone into queue, and he was then locked into the lobby as I was sent into the game.
