Memory leak resulting in client crash and patch reversion

While playing ARURF mode as Thresh my frame rate dropped immensely and the game crashed, but the client was fine. This has been happening to me since the Bilge Water map mode so I don't think anything of it, plus the game usually loads back up in time for me to continue where I left off without any issues.

However after loading back in this time, the frame rate started to drop again after a minute or so. But it was odd because the FPS count wasn't going down like it usually would. So I looked in Task Manager and "LeagueClientUXRender.exe *32" was using roughly 2,770,00K memory. However it was increasing by around 200,000K memory every second.

While I was watching it in the task manager and trying to cope with what I was looking at it vanished from the list. League of Legends completely crashed, client and all. However "LeagueClient.exe *32" was still in the task manager and using 223K memory.

After almost a minute, I used the "End Process Tree" function on the defunct Process and re-opened the Client.

The only thing on my mind was getting back into the game so I could help my teammates meaning I didn't document any of the following very accurately. I lack screenshots but it was a crazy ride from here.

Opened client, logged into my account Client said it was version 8.12 and needed to revert a patch and reinstall. Client reverted to patch 8.11. Client re-opened itself, said it needed to revert a patch and reinstall. Client re-opened itself, nothing was happening so I logged into my account. Client said it was version 8.11 and needed to revert a patch and reinstall.

Client re-opened itself, said it needed to revert a patch and reinstall. Client re-opened itself, nothing was happening so I logged into my account. Client said it was version 8.10 and the downloading bar where the play button is was filling up. At reaching 100% Client said it needed to install a patch and would restart.

Client re-opened itself, said it was version 8.11 and needed to revert a patch and reinstall. At this point I realized it had been about a solid hour and a half I decided the likeliness of my thresh game going was null. .

I took a break for 8 hours and came back to see if it was still doing this so I could document it. Everything patched flawlessly and it's version 8.13.

But now it says I've been disconnected from the chat.
