J4 ult and Tristana's Jump

So this was yesterday when I was playing J4. Long story short, Tristana was about to jump over the wall when I cast my ult on her, unsure if she had her jump or not. The wall I'm talking about is the thick wall near the tri-brush next to the T1 tower. My ult landed in the spot where she was, as she had already jumped into the fog of war.

He's the glitchy part: It pulled her back into me, even though she was already mid jump, probably right above the wall. I'm not sure if this is once in a life time, or if it can be recreated.

I believe that it was confirmed a while ago on the GD that Tristana's jump is actually a dash. She is still targetable mid jump, but her in game position does not portray her hit box position correctly.

I thought a dash will still go through a J4's ult if it was still in motion and had enough range to still go over it. I just don't know why it pulled her all the way back to me. She must have been right over the map's wall by the time of the jump, and I thought she might have been on top of where cataclysm's wall would have been. If a dash is cast before the J4 ult and will go over the wall-like structures that it creates, does it pull them back in even though they would have jumped over the wall that J4 made? Do the Cataclysm walls have some sort of push effect if a person is on top of it?

I know that question is worded pretty poorly, so I apologize in advance.
