Kicked from a game through game crash???

Basically i was just in a game with rammus. I was going i believe 11/5 and we were just about to crack their base, it was a close match near the end and then everybody got kicked from the match. Then it started with this whole, the game has crashed or unable to connect to server thing that has been happening recently on euw.

However the real problem lies with what happened. After i tried to reconnect to the game after it said it crashed, i was forced into the main menu of league of legends where you can go to the shop or go into a match. My friend is still saying that the match is going on for him and hes able to keep trying to reconnect but for some reason for me, its registering as the match never existing. No details in match history, no possible way to rejoin.
