Sona interaction with Sivir's spell shield

When I play Sona vs a Sivir and I use a Q and then a passive-proc'd autoattack, if Sivir spellshields right before both the Q and autoattack hit, it will block both sources of damage, not just one. Now it is my understanding that Sivir's spell shield will block only one ability and not autoattacks. If that's the case, then she should take damage from the autoattack, even if it is boosted by Sona's Q and passive. Instead she ends up taking no damage and blocking both the Q and autoattack, regaining quite a bit of mana. I've been able to repeat this in 100% of my games as Sona vs a Sivir.

Spell-augmented autos still count as spells. If they didn't, she couldn't block TF gold cards. The double block thing has been around as long as Sivir has, and its because it eats spells within the animation duration. Just gotta delay your stuff a little so you don't pile them all and get completely blocked.

The first thing that pops in my head, is that this Sona seems butt hurt.

Yes, this really irritates me I remember before the rework I could easily fake out a Sivir by using powerchord on her while she uses spellshield and it going through since it's a auto modifier, much like how Ezreal Q goes right through it too

Also really sucks now because since she can block your entire basic combo, making what should have been 1k damage, 0 damage

I'm glad Sivir is not played often
