Client froze in champ select after all champs were picked

My client froze in champ select after all the other champions were picked and i was planning to perform a trade with another player. My masteries and runes were set towards the champ and because of the freeze I wasn't allowed to trade with the other player which led to me trying to dodge before the game started. The game still continued and I had to dodge in-game so that a remake can be done. But I'm going to receive the full brunt of it even though it was a client based issue and not a player based one. Is there any way we can circumvent the repercussions of me being placed in a lower priority queue?
