Same is happening to me. Had this problem with avast before, but im pretty sure that's not it this time.

Nope, that's exactly what it was.

Go into your avast settings or anti virus or whatever, and add the lol pather and lol launcher to the exclusions and bob's your uncle.

It seems that the latest patch has something that crashes with AVAST! What I did was to disable avast for 10 min (right click on the Avast! icon and chose "shields control"), and did this suggestion from another post:

Bread Lord (NA) - 29 minutes ago Just had this problem, and I have two possible solutions:

Delete the folder 'D: Riot Games> League of Legends > RADS > projects > lol_launcher' and 'lol_patcher' then try and run the launcher.

Check to see if your anti-virus is blocking the launcher. I have Avast and the way to fix it is by going into the Virus Chest and adding League of Legends to exclusions. You might have too do this twice, because for some reason the launcher counts as two different programs for my anti-virus.

And it worked. Hope Rito is making a patch to avoid this crashes.

Im having the same problem on 2 pcs cant even force open league client and have done a reinstall on one still nothing
