client won't update

For several months I've been patching the game by opening the old "lol.launcher.exe" and forcing the repatch/repair on that program. I CANNOT get the client to launch it's self after the game has been updated. Also, I do have the Hextech repair tool. It also doesn't do anything to get the client working. Also when doing this backwards repair often something breaks in the game files and after launching the first game it will bugsplat and for another repair. That usually fixes the issues for the rest of the patch duration (game & and client opens fine after that). Any ideas on what to do to make this labor intensive process easier?
