80 ping when playing garen, 300 when playing lee sin, wtf riot
80 ping for a no skill champ that doesnt even need it, then 300 for someone who actually takes effort and skill.

Might be just your brain lagging due to the advanced mechanics you're not getting. But I doubt that your ping has anything to do with the champion you're playing.
