Kled and Tristana ult interraction

Twice in an ARAM I hit kled with a buster shot but on those occasions it was that show that knocked him off of skaarl. However it didn't knock him back. Surely if he takes the damage the effect should apply?

Kled cannot be CC'ed while being knocked of Skaarl. He's actually invincible during that time.

I know but the damage hits that causes the dismount so I feel like the knockback should happen

you don't knockback a target that dies with the hit either

The knockback gets overridden by his dismount's knockback.
