Game Crash 5.17

I have lately been trying to play a few games in solo queue and after the champion select it gives me a black screen and asks if i would like to attempt to reconnect with the options Retry/Cancel. When i press retry it just loops and when i hit cancel I get brought back to the launcher telling me my game crashed and that i need to re connect. This problem has been persisting for about a week now and it happens for sure every time I switch out my Runes and masteries and sometimes I can play just fine. I have been doing some testing in some custom games and after a few times of it not crashing i can play some games without it crashing if i don't change runes, masteries or summoner spells. This is rather annoying and i would like some help resolving this. I have also been wondering if anyone else has had this problem as well. Anyways Riot pls help.
