Spectating a Game I'm AFK In

Got on team builder, it took a long time to find a team and team leader (husband) left queue. I was still in queue (team never disbanded), and he couldn't start a new game because it said he was in-game. He got stuck in log-in queue when he re-logged back in, and I left queue as well. After he logged back it, it took him into game with 3 enemies. I spectated his game while he reconnected and could see my Fiddle sitting on back haha. I can queue for another game though, but kinda wanted to play with my husband. Still in spectate mode, while he plays on his computer in the same room, with no option to rejoin queue (says I am Online in green and can start new game).
