[Client] In champion select when I click on edit rune icon the screen comes up wrong

When in champion select for normal, draft or ranked 5v5 summoner's rift, I click on the circular edit runes icon next to my rune pages drop down menu and instead of getting the usual runes edit window, only the top edge of the window with the X in the top right corner appears. However, the client seems to think I am editing my runes because I can no longer interact with the regular champion select interface such as chat, summoner spells or champion select itself.
