[League Displays] Wallpaper transition causes abnormal CPU usage spikes

PC build: Intel core i7 8700k nVidia RTX2070 Gigabyte 8GB windforce 16 GB RAM 3000mhz Asus Rog Strix Z370-H PSU 700W 1TB SSD (main disk) 1TB HDD (secondary disk, almost empty, just Unity projects)

So it appears that after keeping my PC active with League Displays, ONLY AFTER SEVERAL HOURS, when changing wallpaper every minute, after the transition to the next wallpaper ends, it causes spikes in CPU usage (around 40-50%) which results in screen stuttering for a brief second and frame drops (30 frames loss no matter what current FPS the game is running) in any game i play: from LoL, Monster Hunter World, to even the most simple game, Serious Sam First Encounter (non remastered). Wanted to know if this is a common situation for similar PC builds or it is just me.

I have been having the same issue with the similar specs as you have besides a 2080. Mine occurs once the program has started and affects it every time the wallpaper changes every minute on my triple monitors. I don't notice any spikes in my cpu performance, but it does stutter any game in which I'm playing. I don't notice any changes in fps though but it seems we are having similar symptoms and you're the only one I've found with this. Lemme know if you get any answers.

I had the same issue! Ryzen 7 2700x RTX 2070 32Gb RAM 3000Mhz 1 Tb Samsung 970 EVO

Really frustrating, I went through so many different settings and applications trying to figure out what was causing my PC to lag and then it finally struck me that it would only happen when the backgrounds were transitioning. Unfortunate because I otherwise really enjoy the app.
