Loading in too late to initial carousel

Reproduction rate is 100%, happens to my friend as well.

I have a garbage-tier computer, but he has a decent one. First time we played TFT we did not get to choose our first pick (separate matches), it loaded us straight in to the minion round. In my consecutive matches I did get very little time to choose.

While loading in:

The carousel island is there, but none of the people/champions are loaded yet. Lasts about 10-15 seconds
In zooms in for a couple seconds
Then it says "attempting to reconnect" for about 3 seconds.

Usually I have 0-5 seconds to choose. Most often 4 or 5. Just enough time to miss the first pick 1/3 of the time though.

If you add a 10 second gate at the start like normal LoL that will solve this. Or y'all could fix the actual bug, as it does not happen in regular LoL.

Update: Getting the new maps made the delay almost a full minute, loading in to the 3rd wave of minions for that specific game. After that was back to normal.

Bump I have similar issue.

Played 30+ games completely without issues. Since today the game loads and stays frozen for like 15 seconds. The first thing I see after the frozen carousel is a random champion about to fight minions. Rito pls this is a big 1st world problem.

Was the difference a little legend or map you got? I noticed the first time I used the runic map I loaded unusually long, the night one had no issues.

Edit: When I said "no issues" I mean, no EXTRA issues.

Nope I don't have any map skins yet and it started happening before I got my first legend.

got this too been playing since day 1 and only 1 time have i actually loaded in properly, while having changed nothing for that one time.

Started to get this error after the most recent patch. Was working fine before that but now every game, no matter what setup and options I try I miss out on the inital carousel and picking first item and champion. Hope riot look into and get it fixed as lots of people I have talked to in game also have the same issue atm and this is ranked! Its happening now so there must be some problem. FYI I have a good computer with good internet and the game was working perfectly before the most recent patch!

I got a response from Riot support. They are aware of the issue and are working on a fix, but don't have an estimate.
