Zoning into first carosel as it ends

Yesterday, I noticed a lot of people afk during first carosel. Every game 1-3 players afk. Today, I see what's been going on. I zone in and have about 2 seconds before it ends and I get a random champ. This never happened to me before the patch.

Still happening today. Game is unplayable. Random 1st pick is too much of a weak start.

I've experienced this in 100% of my TFT games since the patch dropped too.
