I'm in placements, I wanted yi(yi was banned); I played lee sin instead because why not. Everything was FINE all game. I got everyone ahead in lane. THEN.. they started grping without pushing side lanes and getting caught LEE SIN WTF YOU DOING???. Infernal Drake is spawning I ping it a million times, no one is ready, they all are chasing a top laner... ALL OF THEM. YI REPORT LEE SIN. I shit you not. I'm scared I the system might wreck me, I was actually being polite the entire time. What does that matter to anyone? lol. It's crazy.

Tell me, how would you carry this? You'd play with a duo. I mean right? There's so much more to be said.

For example: Plenty of people proclaim such and such elo is elo hell. They are ALL correct. Does anyone consider why? Hell no, no one really gives a shit about being objective, lots of people pretend to be objective for the sake of sounding more intelligent than they are. How about we cut the shit and just talk about some league on the forums without sounding like a bunch of douches?

My point is: there are many ppl that say they are in elo hell and they are right!

You cannot get any better if you've reached your personal skill limit (plateau) and are currently playing with other players that are ONLY as good as you. This is a simple concept. Let's take it a step further, because I know EXACTLY what 99% of you are thinking.

You 'can' get better just playing with people at your own elo, HOWEVER; you won't get better even a freaking FRACTION as quickly as if you were playing against people BETTER than you (higher elo).

This is where I really start to wonder about Rito's direction, they want to cater to people that "just want to have fun" while catering to the competitive player base. I'm really pissed that the direction isn't simple, but from a marketing standpoint... wtf ever. i get it

That aside.. You will get better at this game if you play against people that are better than you. Pushing ahead of that point if a person was to get boosted from silver 5 to gold 1 for example. He'd get better at the game 10x quicker if he played at THAT elo for a month vs silver 5 for a year.

This is what I mean about elo hell: you can make all the correct decisions in the world but your team with make wrong ones and bring you down with them, you WILL not exceed at this game simply by grinding conventionally.

Look: I lost my train of thought slightly, but I feel as if I made my point, I didn't offer any kind of solution as: you know, you don't need to be a challenger caliber player skill wise to understand the game, aka casters.

Anyway, I hope this resonates with some peoples.

So much more than I wanted to post originally. I apologize! I hope at least one person reads that wall of text.

Also, please don't delete all of this Riot, I wrote so much; it's relevant enough <3.

This is honestly the kind of things I enjoy talking about with anyone in discord. I love the game from top to bottom, challenger to bronze, Faker to.. me.

I love it.

There's a paragraph I should delete just for the sake of any Rioter actually reading it, if you take it down(ik the whole thing), please at least give me some feedback instead of some robotically bureaucratic response. I put it on my life you could relate. I hope.:x

I think the biggest mistake anyone can make is consider Elo Hell to be the problem. While it is true, a mix of poor mmr and sometimes even current ranking can commonly mix you with players that can range greatly from those that do well, to those that just look to be as dead in the water as a player who has never played a MOBA in their life. Elo Hell only exists, because many of us need something to point fingers at. We need a justification for our rage, a sense of deniability for the sake of more immediate gratification.

What it really comes down to is self improvement. Regardless of what we do, we will have our good games, our bad games, and our games that are typically fated to suffer due to trolls/toxic players. But as long as we focus on ourselves, and accommodate a healthy dose of team cooperation (especially under clutch circumstances), the wins will eventually outweigh the losses.

With the current rune system, I honestly do believe that many who have suffered due to a difference in power, will have at least a marginal amount of reprieve. The opportunity to gain that sense of clarity many may need, and many more may have been asking for.

Keep up a sense of realistic optimism, don't resort to fowl play.
