I want to play with people at about plat+ so that i can train in that area so i can finally carry myself out of silver. I am not that great but i do want to get better and i need help, i must practice to get better. Pls add me

Really, near the end of last season I just start to play ranked again. I got to gold pretty easily and probably would have made it to platinum if I had more time. Just how big is the difference in skill level? I know gold is just a shinier version of bronze, but come on man, are you over-exaggerating? FYI- not being sarcastic here, I really want an answer

Yes there is quite a difference. I'm not talking about a Gold 5 and a plat 5. The difference in game knowledge at low elo gold is quite different. What you are dealing with in silver is amplified in gold because people start knowing what to do. High gold starts playing more comps in general (not always). I made it into plat last season and the lvl of play and knowledge is really different.
The average player's elo is roughly Silver 4-5 so 1 league up is only slightly better and above average. Once you hit Plat (roughly top 10% of players) in general players are much better. Gold is a massive obstacle to get through just like PLat 1 is. I mean the number of players taht get stuck at plat 1 is huge by %.

Might make people think twice before judging whether or not to invite you to their games; they might even post comments on your game play to help you improve even further.
