vVv Gaming’s Official Amateur Draft League

Hey, Summoners! vVv Gaming is officially launching the sixth season of the Amateur Draft League. Starting Sunday, July 26th, this event will be hosted every Sunday and Friday at 9pm EST (6pm PST) on the vVv Mumble server. Every League of Legends player knows the terror of solo queue so this league was founded on the principle that competitive gamers need a social, fun and engaging environment that is free of toxicity. These organized play events provide a unique experience to interact with others who have a similar mindset of wanting to compete while improving.

We have a complete set of rules and procedures unique to our event that ensures the quality of the experience as well as guarantees to reward players who prove themselves more talented. One of the newest rules we’re implementing this season is our all new Champion Tier. After 4 weeks of regular drafting, the players with the highest ADL ELO will be put into the Champion Tier. People who are originally placed into the Champion Tier can drop out, and people who are not originally placed in the Champion Tier can be moved into it. This way, there is a consistent feeling of progression as the season runs. At the end of our 8 week season, we will be hosting a 20-person tournament between the final Champion Tier players, to determine prize payouts for 1st-4th place. We also have our own rules in place for reforming and eliminating all toxicity from our events!

The highest rated players will each draft their own team each night (takes about 15 minutes) and you will keep your team for two games (one night). We have had anywhere from Challenger to Bronze 5 players participate so no one is restricted from showing up! Over the previous five seasons, we have had hundreds of unique summoners attend, and many of our own members have risen from Platinum to Diamond, Silver to Gold, thanks to the feedback given and level of play they experience. By using mumble, we replicate the unique situation for many players who are in a competitive 5v5 atmosphere with teammates that can verbally communicate all while competing for prizes! Prizes will be provided by Riot, more information will be provided when we have received official approval for the event.

How to get involved:

• Join our Mumble server in the “Draft League” channel and the in-game “vVv ADL” channel in the LoL Client BEFORE the start time.
• If you have any issues setting up Mumble, please arrive 15 minutes before the ADL (so 8:45pm EST/5:45pm PST) and a Staff member will assist you.
• You do not need to register to play! All you have to do is show up in our Mumble server before the start time. To be eligible for Riot prizes you WILL have to register on the event site. We will provide details on where to go to do so once Riot approves our prizing request.
• For fairness in team selection, all participants should be present at the start time so that all captains have access to the same set of participants when making team selections. If you want to play and know you are going to be a little late (class, work, etc) and the timeframe is within reason (<15 minutes), please feel free to message vVv Medusa, vVv Sugarbear, or vVv Unverclopt and we will help you.
• If you do not get drafted due to an off number of players showing up, then feel free to stay after the draft. Depending on interest we will have the remaining players either play normals, ranked 5’s, or ARAMs. This is a great way to meet other players dedicated to learning and improving.
