Every game seems to have someone in a que that is being boosted by someone else.... I fail to understand why i should have to go back into bronze after spending so long getting out of it. Seems like if someone is consistently out preforming the opposing team they should be boosted in rank. Anti smurfing algorithms already exist. Why doesn't Riot buy into that?

If you are in a que then you are commonly going to find smurfs. Sadly its not plausible to play with a friend, someone who can get me fed in lane, because ill now be against a duo/trio with a smurf on it

Kyudoka1 votesyour just overthinking it. ive played about 1k games this season, 2k last season of ranked and you really dont play against that many smurfs. i played on my smurf for the past 2 months and ive only played against mayb like 3 smurfs going from low silver to gold.
if your in bronze/silver then something is wrong w/ your gameplay. judging from your match history it seems to be from dying a lot/getting caught out/low vision control/and probably just the knowhow for finishing games. out of the last 3 games u lost there was only 1 possible smurf. the others u prob thought were smurfs either got really lucky or just played smarter

its very easy to look up someones stats and realize who is smurfing and who is most likely account sharing, just because someone doesnt carry in 1 game doesnt mean theyre not a smurf xD

instead of looking at their match history i look at average over all games with t he champion in ranked FIRST then i look at match history, they can both tell a convincing tale.
Warning Shot1 votesplayed 3 ranked games last night, had 2 smurfs, in mid silver. was quite fun, got dumpstered 1 game, won the 2nd game against a different smurf. here's the accounts in question.

http://www.lolskill.net/summoner/NA/Evarette/champions - this was the second game we actually won this one. Notice how there is only a couple good champions kda wise then the rest are normal / low kdas, makes me think this is someone sharing accounts to get boosted.
All in all it's whatever, it sucks for people who haven't reached their goal yet this season to have to play against, but at the same time its the end of the season and you've had all year to climb, this end of the year boosting usually always happens, people getting their smurfs up to plat / diamond for borders and such. oh well

typically yes, but this isn't typical. this is the end of season " gotta get my 7 smurfs to platinum" rush for rewards. I know atleast 2 diamond players personally doing it, and it sucks, but like i said earlier, we had all year to climb, people who waited until a month before season ends to get to their goal is just unfortunate decision making :/

they're not doing it for you, they do it to unwind, or to get their alternate account season rewards, or get their friends some free elo. you're just lucky or unlucky depending on which team you get on during their game.
