Vladimir & Soraka I have nearly 200 ranked Vlad games and 65% are currently wins. I love playing him mid and top, but recently discovered that Vlad is a lot of fun in the bot lane. A bit of a disclaimer, there are MANY individuals who share the opinion that Vlad is not meant to be played bot. I get it, people like their metas. I am NOT an individual who enjoys the meta, and I want to stir things up.

If you are a Soraka main, and are cool playing HUNDREDS of Soraka games with an experienced Vlad troll player then by all means, leave a comment below or add me in the in-game client. :D (Waffle Sheep)

Reasons to consider: 1: ADCs have no clue how to trade blows against a properly-kiting Vlad. 2: Soraka gives Vlad the sustain he needs early game, which is his biggest weakness. 3: When Vlad reaches his lv.9 power-spike, the lane's sustain is at a point where he's nearly unkillable. 4: Our jungler doesn't have to gank because of how safe our lane is, so they are free to focus on mid and top. 5: I always upgrade to Greater Stealth Totem at lv.9 and keep our river bush lit. 6: I am a very silly guy and I never insult my teammates or go on witch hunts. 7: I may be stubborn, especially during champion select, but I am also very kind. :3 8: I respect ranked pick order. If we get a 1st pick that wants to ADC or Support, I always fill so they get their preference.

The Following Recently Happened: I was 3rd pick and locked Vlad bot My premade Soraka friend locked in as support for 4th pick We made it CLEAR we were going duo bot, 1st / 2nd pick were cool with the idea. Our 5th pick locked in Vayne instead of going top, because he did not believe I was competent enough to handle it Vayne did NOT consider our pick order priority, and I consider his actions on-par with griefing. TL/DR: I respect the wishes of those above me in queue.

For those of you here to complain about how much you disapprove of Vlad going bot, or how badly you think we'll perform, I won't be responding to replies on this thread that are not strictly on topic. Just like players who complain during game, you will be muted and ignored if you cannot keep this thread positive or constructive. What do I consider on topic? Anyone who actually wants to duo-queue with me who's looking forward to stomping on ADCs.

item 3302 Nidalee Taric Sona Nami Acceptable Soraka substitutes I would consider trying are listed above. Under the condition you max your healing ability first, and start with a Relic Shield for the additional sustain.

PS 1: There is a Soraka main I currently play with. He will no longer be joining me once we get him promoted from Bronze 1 to Silver V. This thread is being created with the intent on finding a suitable replacement.

PS 2: Voice chat through Curse Voice (CV) is a requirement. If you are serious but lack a headset or mic, you will need to acquire one.

Issues I see with it

  1. You need a good source of AD damage on the team. So you'd need either a scaling AD mid or top, or a jungler like Yi. Just for the sustained damage on objectives and in fights

  2. With no "ADC" you lose out on sieging, ADC's are really needed to take towers, so this has to be covered somewhere as well

  3. Vlad scales so well off of levels, having to split xp with a support is really not beneficial to him.

  4. How do you deal with being hard engaged on by a bot lane like Naut+Graves at like level 2. It is already a weak point for Vlad and Soraka both, and Vlad isnt going to do enough consistent dps for that trade to be worth it in any sense. If soraka has to heal you off it she is going to be at an extremely high risk of being all in'd and killed herself. Wouldn't a support that actually has peel be better? Especially considering Vlad has self sustain anyways.

It can be a thing for giggles and catch the enemy lane off guard, but their are much better choices to do similar with, hell go with an Alistar support if you really want one that has some sustain for you. He at least offers peel as well early.
