Why does my solo queue rank make people think i am bad? I am gold 2. the highest ive been was my plat series. Im asking this question because i want to play ranked 5s at a high level. But because of my solo queue rank im not able to get onto a team. Ill be honest. idk what it is but i cant play solo queue well. its not because i perform poorly but i can not get reliable team more then 50% of the time. I understand that most games you can carry even if your team is bad. But as a top laner it is hard to carry your bot lane who goes 0-12. This seems like an exaderation but im not kidding. maybe im just having a string of bad luck but its really effecting my mentality. back to the main question though. Why does my solo queue rank make people think that im bad. i know im gold 2. but i know for a fact that i can perform against diamond/master tier level players because i have in the past. Ive been put against diamond teams when i was on my old ranked team and outperformed many top laners. I play mostly tanks which can make it even harder to carry some games in solo queue. i understand warding about 100 times better then most people in the plat-diamond elo and my rotational knowledge cant even be used in solo queue because of the fact that i have no communication with my team other then pings and quick typing. i just wish a team somewhere would give me a chance. i know that i can do it. im sure there will be plenty of hate replies below but i dont care. i know i can play at a high level if it is team play. solo queue is just a joke. If i had to compare solo queue to something it would be the ACT that you take in highschool. who have this score. and everything is based on that score. if its not high enough you cant get into a better college / team. even if you are more skilled or smarter then the person who is higher then you because they had a lucky string of teams that carried them, or because they had the money to buy an account that high.

For example, Reginald I believe in S2 was only platinum, but he played on TSM regardless and they won tournaments. I agree w you op! People should give others a chance to prove themselves.

Having the mentality that the reason you can't play soloq is because you have bad luck and get shitty teams more than 50% of the time is pretty lame imo. There is no "bad luck" preventing you from climbing in soloq, it is only yourself. There is always something you can do better to climb and thats what you need to find out and improve on. If you can't improve by yourself in soloq, you will not be able to compete at a higher level, even in ranked 5s. Also, saying you can consistently play better than Diamond/Master Tier Top laners is pretty arrogant and essentially untrue, because if you could, then you would also be able to achieve Diamond/Master Tier Elo as they have, simple as that. They aren't luckier than you, they are just more skilled.

Yes, there is "bad luck" in soloq. Everyone has had the occasional AFK or troll or just really bad player that can't be carried. But the point is, no one can blame the fact they are in their elo due to bad luck alone. I never said there was no such thing as bad luck, I play soloq as well and I know there is bad luck. However, if you are truly Diamond tier skill leveled, you should be able to climb there eventually, despite the occasional bad luck. The bad luck is not an excuse and something people should use as an excuse for holding them back.

In my provisionals this season i had 4 games where my ADC never connected, as a support main it is impossible to come back from that. Now i am not saying winning a 4v5 isnt possible but what i am saying is that winning that kind of 4v5 is nearly impossible without almost perfect teamwork to make up for the fact that two people just mow down you bot lane and get to inhib without contest.

i was always big on you cant win them all and just keep playing and performing like i have been and i will keep climbing. but after being in my platinum series twice failing them both with 2 wins 3 losses and in both series having 1 game with an afk and 1 game with a rage feeder. then after losing both of them dropping down to gold 2. its aggravating and the only reason i play solo queue is so that people will let me tryout for their team. but i feel like its useless to play it if i feel like i can perform at the high level already. you know what i mean? like i feel like im wasting my time with solo queue i guess..because solo queue isnt fun. ranked 5s are fun.

if you could play against even mid diamond level players at any role you would be able to carry yourself to at least diamond easily even if you lost all your games at every other roles, so stop deluding yourself thinking you're diamond/master level lmfao. Games you cant carry happen, but its exessively rare that there is no way you could of carried the game, literaly game has to be 2v5 for it to be impossible to carry.

p.s. comparing solo queue to school is beyond retarded, school system is so poorly adapted to people above and bellow the average that lots of them end up following a different, faster path to learn. Solo queue is somewhat of a learning ground however you go at your own pace, so if you're smart/good you go up fast if you're retarded, you stay in gold, and thats how its meant to be.

and if you really think your solo queue ranking doesnt matter GO MAKE YOURSELF A FUCKING TEAM WITH GOLD PLAYERS WHO CLAIM THEY'RE MASTER LEVEL 2, then it should be super easy to go d1/master in 5s, i mean you guys are so fucking good, right?
