Riot, I ask you in deep and sincere humbleness for you to somehow incorporate a solo q option to only play with those 18 or older. it would really help for those long ranked nights when the 14 year old that's up past his bedtime goes 1-16 in 22 minutes rengar botlane.
Meh. Even a 25 yo can troll and feed hardcore, and a 12 yo can carry you to Diamond 1 with grace and humility. You might consider just joining an 18+ ranked team and live with solo queue being a toxic cesspool.
Also there would be no way to prove it. Ever. It's an interesting idea? eh? But just isn't possible when you think about it in the long run. Unless you are comfortable giving Riot some from of official ID, in which they would then have to hunt down real IDs and fake IDs or if a kid would just use their parent's ID. And that would also make Riot Games the largest target for hackers on the planet where they could possibly get a hold of people's legal documents...Unless you have a better idea...
Practically, people can and will lie about their age.
Philosophically, I've met some fucking stupid 20 year olds, and some very mature 16 year olds. Such an arbitrary break off point wouldn't really filter players as well as you'd hope.
I would soundly endorse a game mode, possibly even just a version of ARAM wherein there are NO report buttons after the match. Only a simple plus. And you'll accumulate a (plus percent) based on the ratio of matches where you get plussed for whatever reason. Could be teamwork, friendly whatever but in that mode it's just a plus.
If after a while you are severely NON plussed then you will only be matched with other people that no one likes. Think of it as a mode with restricted utility where the important parts are a) horsing around and b) blowing off steam.
Do not say that custom games already have this covered. I want a place to put the players who have no one willing to play with them.
I'm kinda all for this. In that que listing reports carry a heavier weight then normal as anyone over the age of 18 should act like it.
Just gonna go ahead and say it: Age is completely irrelevant to skill level.
