The Ruining of ARAM
I used to love playing normal games until everyone in LoL Decided to be an asshole.
Thus began my ARAM game. ARAM used to be really really fun, with people trying out new crazy builds, playing champions you had never played before.... This has been my, and all of my online friends' favourite game mode by far.
Recently, ARAM has been ruined... by 4 things....
- When I (or anyone else) gets one of the Free champs (randos as we call them), and we have already played them, if we have a Reroll, we do that... then almost every time, we get another one of the free champs. This is such BS, I can't even begin.... but here goes:
If I use one of my Rerolls, I shouldn't have to worry about getting a champion I own. I buy the champions i have because I like to play them, or I am good with them. Having a place where people are forced to try new things is great and all, but if EVERY TIME you play ARAM you ONLY get champions you don't own and don't like, it really puts a damper on things.
Solution: Reduce the chances of getting champions you don't own; If you reroll a champion you should be guaranteed a champion you own and maybe even one you play frequently.
Mark. The worst thing to happen to ARAM thus far.
This is the most BS thing Riot has come up with yet. It is basically a big middle finger to everyone that isn't a Tank, or Assassin. Tanks don't have that kind of mobility for a VERY GOOD REASON. Because being able to dive past the entire team, and 2 turrets, and being able to just walk out is a bunch of crap and you know it. Assassins (with the exception of Hurricane Katarina which is her own version of OP BS), they have to choose between fast engage, or fast escape. Being able to snowball in, grab a triple, and hop out like it is nothing is so unfair to so many good players, because there is nothing you can do to stop it. Worst thing about it? IT EXISTING IN THE FIRST PLACE.
Solution: GET RID OF IT. Seriously Riot.... wtf
- Turrets and the lack of damage.
If you want to dive a turret in ARAM for a kill, that turret better end you. There is no reason that it should take 4-5 turret hits to get someone to half health. that is BS. You should have to REALLY THINK about how bad you want that kill and if it is worth it. 2 turret hits should bring you to at least half health for a squishy mage.
Solution: 1) up the damage turrets do to champions 2) make the damage a percentage of health instead of a flat amount. 15-20% each hit, hen you can make more items that reduce turret damage, making for more interesting tank builds.
4)Dodgers, This could be said for all game modes.
Solution: Give the players an option to report and block people that dodge. Not decline, but when you are all set to go and they drop out. Easy enough to do, c'mon guys.
Bottom line? ARAM used to be my favourite game mode, but with all the crap now, it makes people like myself not even want to play the game anymore. IF you take anything from this, just get rid of Mark. It makes the game really unfair considering you can't choose your champions. If the other team gets a tank and assassin and all you have is adcs or mages, you are screwed and there is nothing you can do.
