Quick sketch of a 2v2 map (Magma chamber v2?)
I just want to preface the explanation to this game mode by saying that this was just a project I did because I saw another post about the old 1v1 or 2v2 magma chamber concept. I just did this because I was bored and it seemed like a fun way to kill some time. Also I do think that in order to further LoL as a game (if that’s even possible?), new game modes would be nice (just my opinion doee). Obviously the quality of the image is poor, as it was just a quick sketch on a computer program, but imagine it fleshed out by Rito’s amazing staff and turned into a real map! I think it would be pretty fun… With that being said, I hope y’all enjoy and let me know how you like the map layout! Feel free to comment, criticize and make edits of your own.
Game mode: 2v2
Purpose: Knock down opposing team’s towers, destroy the energy wall node* and have one teammate walk into opposing players base. Upon doing that there is a big flash of light and all players are returned to their base. The towers and energy shield node are then rebuilt (but only on the one the side who had enemies enter their home base) and process is repeated until one team is able to enter the opposing team’s home base 2 or 3 times (maybe just 1 time depending on how long it takes, the aim is for this to be a 12-20 minute average running game time).
*energy wall node is essentially a small structure that powers the energy wall. Think of the energy wall as the blue or red shields on either base in SR. It allows each respective team pass through their own shield, while not allowing the enemies. Once the node is destroyed, players then have one minute to enter enemy base before it reappears, thus restoring the shield.
Jungle camps:
I want their to be the potential to run a jungle/solo comp ( although duo will probably be better) as well as a duo lane comp, so the jungle monsters should give enough xp to level a champion up fairly quick, but should also require a leash in order for champions to gain a level and jungle. Camp buffs are proc’d by killing the big monster (no smite necessary). I decided to go with a shield buff, ap buff, and ad buff on the smaller camps, that way, every champ has options to synergize the jungle buffs with their champs’ kit. For the large monster camp, I think the buffs should stack similar to that of the dragon, but only up to 3x, the 3rd buff going away after some time or upon death. First buff = exp bonus, second movement speed bonus, third should be super minions in order to aid in a base siege.
Other changes:
Because this game mode should be shorter than SR matches I think players should start at level 1 but gain xp quicker. This means early game champs still have their early game, but you can level more quickly so late game champs can shine as well.
