I'm thinking that each group of characters from Runeterra could have an arena. A watery-piratey Map in Bilgewater and just for kicks put in a pirates-vs-ninjas mini quest. A Ionian arena in a temple featuring 2 V 2? Underground Noxian fight club where Summoners can bet IP and even RP?
Maybe I'm crazy I'd just like to see some more variation in the maps. I get tired of seeing too much Summoner's Rift.
Yeah I think that would be awesome! -Except that.. it would take a very very long time for riot to create even 1 well designed new map. They have to make every little particle so if they do make a new map it would be a very big deal.

Well Riot would pretty much be forced into making all those maps as high def as the new SR, so it would take an immense amount of time to create all of them. And I got a feeling they would have to open all of them at once in order to keep a lot of people from complaining. Just my input on the convo.

Not to be mean or anything but if you're so tired of playing on SR why don't you just try playing on some of the other 3 maps that are currently in the game right now as well? And as for your suggestion, aside from the betting IP & RP part (which I don't agree with at all whatsoever in my opinion there), these do sound like neat ideas, I have to admit, but like the others have said, it would take a considerable amount of time and effort for what would just most likely just be a limited time game feature sadly, so there's that at least.
I think a 5v5, level 18 teamfighting event will be pretty cool. Fighting against a full team composition, hit abilities is pretty fun. It takes forever to get there.
There are always HA and TT, but I do get what you're saying. While I think it would be nice, I think that it would take Riot about ten years to get all the maps looking as good as the SR VU, and by that time, SR would probably look pretty bad in comparison to a lot of other games.
