New SR: Whats up with the map texture? Low Res only?

Whats up. I play on High settings for all (shadows, characters, environment, spells).

Why is the new SR map so low res? Heres a screenshot of Nidalee on the new map. See those pixels on the floor that you can't see on nidalee? Why does the map look like a 500x500 image thats been stretched out to fit my screen? I wonder if Riot is thinking about 4k textures? You can see a notable difference between the Nidalee and the Tower, both of which look GREAT, then that floor...

hmmmm i was under the impression that the new sr map might be buggy but who knows

Yes, I hope it is a bug that the res is so low. If its not a bug then the new map was such a huge step backwards.

well it is in beta so chances are what we are viewing is not the actual complete product. So.....yeah...

The map has been out on the PBE for months. You don't think they would have fixed such a blatant issue, with the WHOLE map looking fucking terrible?

Regardless the fact of the matter is that it is still in beta. They will probably after open beta take it down and add some tweaks to it.

i starting out on the map with lowest video setting because i wanted to see if my toaster would still freeze occasionally when playing (SR update seems to have fixed that problem) i switched the graphics to normal settings and the difference was minimal. love the tower crumbling though.
