I just had a game with a very unpleasant individual. Our Irelia continuously insulted everyone and barely helped. But this isnt a rant about yet another player who was a jerk. This is a direct plea to Riot themselves. I know as game developers there is not really much that can be done without weeding out players that are not actually bad. However something needs to be done about the mentality of ranked mode. People are generally jerks (not all) in ranked mode. Especially if anyone does subpar, but this should not be an excuse to humiliate and degrade the other players who just want to play the game. I try very hard to find the bright side of any ranked game even if my loss is guaranteed, but i have tended to avoid the mode due to the negativity exclusively found in this mode. I want to play Ranked mode, and just wish players were nicer and at least not being jerks. Riot, Please do something! Signed Admiral Harkoff

What do you propose they do about it... permaban players the first time they trash talk in chat?

Players are getting punished for negative behavior all the time, but it doesn't happen instantly. There isn't much more they can do with a playerbase this large.

There must be something that can be done. change Ranked mode so its not such a cesspool? get rid of it entirely except for the pros? i dont expect a full cleansing just something that will make the game more fun even for the grumps that are complete arse holes in ranked mode. I dont like being called garbage and then being reported by everyone for no reason. It makes me want to quit the game entirely and that's not good
