Okay Riot makes great maps and all but how cool would it be if you could get the map you're playing on a skin! You could see and be playing on volcano map (example) while you're teammate could just see the regular map this gives the game smite and will make it feel like you're not doing the same thing over and over in different games.
I disagree, because you would have to pay for it, and also it would be hard for riot to do that because a significant amount of bugs would show, and say for example you can see farther from a bush bc of this skin. alot of problems like that would occur and it would just be hard for riot
Riot used to do map skins a long time ago, but they stopped for a reason.
For one, the old map skins, particularly the winter map, caused serious FPS issues with many players.
Another reason why they stopped is because since then, Summoner's Rift has gone through a lot of visual changes, so making a map skin now would require A HUGE AMOUNT of work. I mean think about it, the current Summoner's Rift map took a long time to design, create, and perfect. If I recall correctly, it took nearly a year to finally get it to the live servers.
In short, it would just be too much work.
