How to DRASTICALLY Improve Solo/Duo Que (Let's get Riot to hear this!)

Post your opinion on this to get Riot to consider a great idea to save Ranked play!

My biggest biggest hugest issue with LoL is matchmaking!!! I will win lane and do everything right and still lose because I am being matched with players who definitely should not be in my ELO. Or maybe that's not the case...

How to fix this?

**Change ranked matchmaking by drawing influence from team builder AND draft pick.

  • Allow each player to pick their primary and secondary role/lane (or fill) prior to queing (similar to preselecting a champ in teambuilder).
  • When in lobby, each team is matched with all five different roles. No more lobbies of three adcs, trolling, ragequitting, etc. BS.
  • As an added bonus, show us our ranked win rate with that role to allow those of lesser intelligence to think twice about experimenting new roles in ranked they lose with often. While we're at it, do that for each champion in champion select too. People will pick their worst champions in ranked for their own fun at four other people's expense.

Its tough to arrange ranked 5s, but changing solo/duo que to this format would be the next best thing! Why not make everyone happy and let them play the champions and roles we want to play and win with? End the ragequitting "top or feed", non stop flaming games which happen so consistently.

Another big issue is just the over all experience differentials in games! I did my first ever ranked games yesterday and thought I would be matched with similar players. on the enemy team in one game a player had 900 wins...that was more wins (not all games played) then 4 of our players combined. Went back on a website to look at the stats and 4/5 of there players were previous silver ranked and 4/5 of us were in our first ever ranked games .... you can imagine how that game turned out!

Just seems to be some really weird match making that favors speed of team arrangement over balance at the moment :(

They are already working on Teambuilder for ranked, as far as your comments about stats on said individual in that role/champion that would be awesome versus having to look someone up on lolking because they want ADC, but you question if they really know how to ADC or if they just want to be that for fun.

Sometimes we just need to rant. If that is the case, then right on man. Rito pls fix this! If we are being serious, then I do not believe the changes you mentioned will fix solo/duo queue. We win some. We lose some. Let us try our best, and try to be happy win or lose. Here are my thoughts on how to fix solo/duo queue. Become more humble. Focus on ourselves. Don't blame matchmaking or teammates. Don't overly focus on incomplete statistics. Don't condescend to teammates or think of them as those of lesser intelligence. Good luck and have fun.
