Just a quick question. provisional placements, is it strictly based on w/l? does it take personal performance into play? if you lose all ten games but did well in your role do you still get wood 5?
what you did within an individual game is irrelevant; the matchmaking system cares only about wins and losses
Only w/l matters.
win loss is the only part of you actions taken into account, but who you face against also matters. If you lose against people higher than your seed score at that moment you would be knocked down less than if you lost to someone lower than you. Naturally winning is still the best thing you as a player can do, but that's how I understand it works.
I do belive that the preformance of the previous season has an effect.
