Water walk effects

Any plans to add water effects such as footsteps and depth? I'm think the river need more interaction, life, currently looks like you're walking on a simple texture, that's my opinion.

For a while, I was thinking about this... But then I looked at it from a PVP perspective.

If they were to do water effects as well as water ripples there's a good chance that the enemy team would be able to follow you easier.

I think fish in the water would be cool. They swim away from you when you approach them, but when a fish-type champion comes near them you see little hearts above their heads. cx!!(Nami, Fizz, etc)

they should put water effects for some ults like Vi Yasuo Ziggs ect.

Great ideas, guys i think Riot really has the blueprint for one of the best if not THE best game of this type online! The fans really get there say so in this game and thats only fair!

This sounds like a wonderful idea, as long as its client side only, similar to how the camps interact with champions.

However, I'm not sure how easy it is from a programmers perspective, and if possible, maybe an option to switch it on and off like shadows, for considerations to all the Toasters out there.

I dis-Agree because what about the champions that can fly they wont have water effects and wont be seen easier than the walking champs so I wouldn't like water effects that's my opinion

Would the water walk effects increase my ping though? sometimes i play on slow connection and more animation just makes my gameplay worse. I would love to see animation for water, but would it burden my connection even more?

any thoughts?

What about invisible creatures? Invisible flying creatures?

I honestly think it'd be cool if Rito added environment interactions with invisible creatures (e.g. brush parts when invis creature enters/leaves)

This would be really really cool. I thought it was implemented when I saw the new waterfalls by mid lane and realized for the first time that the 'river' was actually, in fact, made of water. But then I expected in the preview to show Garen leaving water footprints, which was not the case. Right now the 'water' exists in this state of artistic dissonance where some effects--the waterfalls, which are AMZING--simulate the appearance of it actually being a river and others (the lack of foot splashes) suggest it is a flat and static surface.

It seems that there should be some cohesion between these two effects from an artistic standpoint and to preserve the waterfalls I would definitely add footsteps.

They have a similar thing for Zombie Brand, his skin leaves footsteps behind, but if he's in the fog of war you cannot see these footsteps
