How do i stay in gold?

Hi,

i finally attained to Gold V today after a real rough time of sticking in Silver 3-1. Self evidently i want to stay in my new elo and would like to know what the exact rules are.

As i didnt play another game since the promotion, I´m at 0 LP now. Does it require the same amount of games or MMR to loose till i get demoted to Silver again as it requires to descend only one division (for example from Silver 1 to 2.) ?

How long do I have to be inactive in ranked till i get demoted to Silver 1 again?

I would appreciate if anyone could answer me these questions.

There's no LP decay for Gold and below. If you don't want to play, that's fine, you'll stay Golden Pony boy and receive your rewards at the end of the season.

Also, you get 10 games of demotion protection after a Tier promotion (3 for divisions). You can play a few games and see if you can raise it up, and not worry if you go on a losing streak first. Just keep an eye on your Profile, it will show you with a notification if you're close to being demoted.

you have to lose a LOT of games while at 0 lp to drop a devision. i lost 8 games in a row at g5 0 lp and nothing. you will be given a notice if you are there. basically saying your showing that your skill is not gold level, and will drop if you keep losing.
