Riot, A sandbox please.

I think there is a ton of creativity and flexibility in game modes and I really wish RITO would cater more to this aspect. Not just featured game modes that go away shortly and very fixed modes/rules. Make custom games have dozens more customization options. Let us be free to have the power to design. We might make some winners for you.

Custom item sets? Custom champ select lists? Custom stat boosts? Chimera champs with each-other's skills/passives?

There are so many ideas for what options could be available in custom games I could list for pages.

ARAM battle of nations pick a country(lore) and fight against champs of another. ex. Demacia vs Noxus Piltover vs Zaun Shurima Vs Bilgewater

Clash of titans Random person on Each team gets boosted stats and size and four remaining players pick champs from support pool. Help your titan win.

Tag team players are locked on base until player in lane dies then they are allowed out etc taking turns playing and cheering trying to set each other up for kills.

The more power we have to play with the cooler things will come out of it I guarantee it. It doesn't have to be a normal queue or give IP but..

GIVE US A SANDBOX

We will have fun in it, and you can use what we make.

We should allow specific items options, specific champ options, optional rules, tweak any kind of stat, urf rules, props like flags, balls, for other kinds of gamemodes, immunity rules. multiple teams? There are alot of things that can be added then just play the standard summoners rift that can be explored in sand box.

The sandbox will also speed up finding some kind of balance instead of the poke, prod, and see what happens kind of outlook the balance team has.

The idea of altering champ skills/passives seems a bit off. But the ability to set what towers are alive, inhibs up, player level at spawn, player starting gold, avaliable items, is something i have often wanted for custom games, as it would really allow you to customize them.

I have often toyed with the idea of a no towers, everyone is level 6 + 7ish thousand gold round, where it would last a matter of minutes.

I totally agree with this. I'm even for the idea of mixing champion abilities. I hate Dota 2, but I love the ability to make myself max level and give myself a pile of gold large enough to satisfy Smaug right as the game starts, and then I can just buy 6 Divine Rapiers and just one or two shot every bot on the other team. It would be very cool of Riot to give us more flexibility with custom games. They're already stand up guys and gals, but this might elevate my love for them a little more. It would also allow us as players to more quickly test out new build combinations and item sets, as we could give ourselves the gold needed to buy all the items instantly rather than having to sit and farm for 15+ minutes in order to try certain things. Good idea all around.

I'd have to assume one of the largest constraints is the engine. DotA 2, for example, is built on Source, meaning that Workshop integration is pretty seamless. League is all proprietary, and that set of tools isn't open to the public.

So the question here is: Are the tools that Riot has to make/alter League in a state that could be easily converted into a separate sandbox for players? If so, what is the cost/benefit of that?

The idea is awesome, but the execution might be monumentally difficult.

I agree, I would love this so much. I recently watched the Jinx music video and I was thinking of how awesome it would be to slay a robot army with Jinx, like a co-op survival mode of sorts against waves of robots, beasts or even minions. I think that would be so sweet.

I check in on this post every so often to see if I can get a red to reply. I don't want to keep just reposting things hoping they filter better to the top but that seems like one of the only ways on this board set up. So final attempt here maybe call in @L4T3NCY for an opinion? Or the name of a rioter who could respond this idea? I do believe quite a few people have voiced similar ideas over time but I wanted to consolidate and maybe get a discussion going. Work with me Riot :)

Zilean I thought of something like this and wanted to see if any big posts weren't already going before i posted mine (1st time on forums) and i had a few similar ideas to what you posted and a few others:

item 3108 Cdr/attack speed/ move speed/ life steal/ (etc) caps move max CDR from 40% to a certain amount or change the attack speed cap to 5.00

{{summoner:17}} Starting turrets that are up, set up a no-turret game or remove outter ones for example, as well as inhibitor respawns or health on structures (or maybe even turret regen or respawns o_O) turret stats, such as health, regen, damage (make them 1 hit everything - even full build Zac), armor etc

item 1080 jungle spawn and respawn timers (baron and dragon up at 1:55 for example, or blue buff every 3 minutes instead of 5)

summoner 4 summoner spells available (turrets for garrison i guess), limiting to everyone only having Smite and Ignite, or something else crazy

Aatrox Champion level and gold at the start - skip straight to a level, or start with 99999k for a quick full build

item 3345 Possible to be customized for each map

I feel like this general sentiment has been brought up before. I tried to organize it well and express more than " BRING URF BACK. " etc

I see lots of posts with similar ideas etc, Anyone know of a red post about this? Can we get a Rioters opinion? Has this been considered before? Is it something you think Riot would consider? Why/not. I am open to ideas/discussion.

Players is this something that you think you would benefit from or enjoy seeing added to the client?
