Dominion. What's up with it?

I'm level 30 and an avid dominion player, something about its play-style just draws me in. So I have a question for the community. Countless times in the past few weeks I have played dominion and received no IP because we won in less than seven minutes. This is primarily not because we are good by no stretch of the imagination but because the other team is just... well bad. I have seen numerous people literally stand under a tower and not cap it. In normals, I tend to be against people around my skill level, so what is up with this?

You're running into bots, almost certainly. Unfortunately they infest Dominion right now, once you've gotten a few more wins you should hopefully be out of that and run into real people regularly. Riot is working on a fix but that hasn't yet hit.

There's a few issues going on here.

You should check your approximate Dominion MMR using this website: http://quickfind.kassad.in/ This may give you some insight as to where you stand. Note that this site will only bring up your team's averaged MMR while you're in a game. It is incapable of providing you with your exact, personal MMR.
Bots have invaded the mode at low to mid MMRs and they make the game rather one-sided. They've been around for nearly a year, but Riot hasn't actually done anything about them because it's Dominion and not SR. They've also invaded TT. Bots have poor AI, usually take Ghost and Heal, and may buy items that don't make sense for each champion, like Berserker's Greaves on a mage.

I suspect that some of your issue may stem from bots in your games.

Each map/mode has it's own mmr. You win a lot on Dom and you play against people roughly your skill level. I don't actually see people like that so you must be somewhere around wood 5 level xD

Well I'm silver 5 and I literally haven't lost a dominion recently (cept one that me and like 2 of my mates crashed) so one would think my mmr would be okay

Those were IP farming Bots. There are several ways to tell. The lack of self defense and ending the game with zero damage to enemy champions is the easiest way, but there appear to be several different strains of Bots. I just posted a thread in this group about how I'm done with Dominion because of Bots - I was one of maybe 2 humans on a team vs. 5 humans. Our game ended in under 7 minutes, as you describe. The Bots are rampant, and even winning against them isn't fun.

I hope they can solve this, because I would guess it's only a matter of time before we start seeing them more in Summoner's Rift - and that will be a REAL problem for the game...

compareable low playerbase, so either insane que times or bad matchmakeing. In adiition, there is no well known meta that gets popular due pros. Most people that are never to Dominion have no clue how it works and what to do.

Another possibillity seems to be bots, but i personally have nerver seen one...maybe thats more an NA thing, as all 'bot' threads are posted from NA...
