I haven't played league in months, and the only thing that would bring me back is URF, and actually, the thing that stopped me from playing was riot's inability to recognize that URF was fun for it's players so they should keep it in the game.
because then it loses it value and how special it would be, having it up all the time people will either A) Get people bored and having another "Dominion" with either long queue times, or a lot of bot players. B) its start to get a meta and thus people forcing it which would lead to having it balance thus defeating the purpose of URF. sadly this was already the case with how long the mode was active.
I have seen people and had been a victim of harassment because i wasnt follow the others all the other people in the OP champions or Champions that have a much better advantage in this mode. I couldnt use champions i wanted to play thus i wasnt having fun because i needed to use another champ that i didnt find fun to play as or have played too much. Because of that people will mass report or Constance harassment and sadly that is what that mode was becoming because of that!
It's being nerfed or maybe not ?
I feel like they could make it available for a day or something every month or two. Just a day. Then everyone will play it for a day. A month or two later, it's suddenly back and people would be like "Oh I haven't played this in a month, I think I'll play it for shits and giggles." and then it's gone the next day. Then the people who ACTUALLY really enjoy the mode can ultra rapidly play for one day.
Also, maybe URF could be a evolving situation (in the fashion of Kha'Zix or Viktor where you can upgrade one spell at a time at certain points in the game to URF-liness). It's a little more calculated and controlled I suppose. shrug
they wont bring back cause your a tool.

Because it was a joke game mode, that got stale once the meta was found in that mode.

riot could keep it as a game mode, the problem is people played it to much instead of trying to play in moderation. and they turned it into a try hard mess, instead of taking the time to enjoy the game mode a gift given to us. people turned it into rapid fire try hard mode. honestly its like people forgot how to have fun, when a game mode is created for fun it means fuck the meta. NO meta NO try hards it was created for fun. and secondly no one is making you play urf constantly, if you play it in moderation you won't get burned out on it. but instead everyone played it so much in the first 2 or 3 days that they started whining and boohooing about how boring it became. there was no one to blame for that but themselves.
Its fire burned too bright, so bright it burnt out.

with all the modes they brought, they're trying to pin-point certain details about things that im too lazy to type out xD
check their posts on the main site, they wrote paragraphs explaining about Urf and the other modes :)
