Game Mode Idea, Hunter.

Anyone who has watched the "New Dawn" cinematic knows the jungle scene; but that isn't the jungle on Summoner's Rift. I have thought of a game mode that has that scenario. Here are the details:

  1. It is a free-for-all. Haven't thought of party sizes, but if this gets enough attention I could elaborate with others.
  2. The whole map is in the fog of war. Kind of like during Acension. The vision radius around your champion could be about 2000 (Nocturne level 1 ultimate).
  3. There are multiple elevations. You can go up branches and fight among the trees, and you can see all elevations below you in your sight radius.
  4. If you are hidden from an enemy from a higher elevation, you can jump onto them, possible dealing bonus damage or CC.
  5. There are no assists. Everything that would be an assist is a kill. The matches would be 10-20 minute long and whoever had the most kills wins.
  6. The kicker - ONLY assassins are allowed on the map. No Mundos jumping from trees!
  7. Each player has a trap instead of a trinket. Traps can be placed anywhere an item like a ward can be placed and last for 3 minutes, and can be placed every 30 seconds with a maximum of 3 traps on the map at once. Traps become more hidden the longer they are on the map.
  8. Stepping in a trap reveals your champion and applies a bleed and slow, and gives the owner increased movement speed towards the revealed champion until the reveal runs out.
  9. Even after the reveal expires, the blood trail will last 5 seconds longer. The trap owner will have an arrow pointing towards the blood trail. Blood drops every second.
  10. There are some buffs that move freely around the map and run away when hit, like scuttle crab with a larger path. Killing it will give a buff, depending on your (the community's) thoughts.

That's all I have so far, so please give it some consideration. Good night everybody!

Honestly, sounds pretty interesting. However, I can also see a lot of errors along with this.

  1. Just assassins? By the League count, there are 14 assassins in the game as of now, which would make it extremely easy to plan on who you're fighting against for the match. Also with the consideration of bans being issued on champions, I honestly feel like only half as many assassins would actually remain after a few days of the game mode. Evelynn would be banned for always being stealthed, while Kassadin would be banned from being able to move faster and become more trickier. Nocturne's ult would be useless. Nidalee and Shaco would be possibly banned for putting traps all over the place. That leaves 9 assassins remaining, and Riot would have at least 10 people playing in this mode. Heck, they might even ban other assassins just for whatever reason they can find. The game would have to be blind pick without Riot interfering with any bans.
  2. A new map? Riot would probably not end up making a new map, and they would certainly not add levels to a map considering League in general is 2D. That would take way too much time, and would be far too difficult for a game mode that will probably only be available for a few weeks.
  3. Ganging up on others could also be a huge problem. Even if you have a party of two, you could easily take advantage of the ones that are all alone. The only way to fix this is to make the game mode solo queue only, and that takes half the fun out of it if you can't play with your friends.
  4. Adding on to 3^, buffs could easily be camping spots for party members, using them as bait for the solo players. Buffs could end up making a champion far too strong with just a single buff in a game, depending on what type of buff and the time limit for the buff.
  5. There aren't really many champions that can stand alone in fighting by themselves. You have your tanks that tank damage, but do almost none in return. Your assassins could easily be taken out (and if going by the all assassin rule, there wouldn't be enough probably.) Mages rely heavily on mana, and they'd probably be knocked out quickly unless there are health packs around the map. AD Carrys would be killed as soon as they land on the map. And then we have supports, which most can only support. Therefore, you have maybe 15 champions that could actually be viable in the game, and half of them could become overly OP in this mode and be banned for eternity.
  6. Spawning? Where would you spawn? Randomly somewhere on the map? A spawn point? Can you recall if there's a spawn point? What about items? What items would be viable? What items would be available?
  7. What about mirrors? Blind Pick? Draft Pick? It seriously does sound like a fun game mode, but I doubt it'd be possible. Like said, there would be too many faults in the process. It would take some serious thinking and consideration to make this a good game mode. And that'd take too long to plan out.
