The addition of solo queue to Ranked 3's

Ever since season two, it has been rumored and hinted that there will be an additional solo queue circuit for a different game mode. Seeing as ARAM just wouldn't be practical, and the balance issues that would need to be addressed before bringing Dominion into the spotlight of competitive play, it seems the only current choice (unless Riot has something else in the works) would be to add a solo queue option to the ranked 3's circuit.

Many believe since the teams are smaller, it would make solo queue under this playlist not viable, but I believe the demands this would put on the individual would increase the sense of responsibility players take on for their wins and losses. I personally have always been in love with The Twisted Treeline, both the new and the old versions of the map. The game mode in itself encourages hyper aggressive small arena style game play not found on any other map or any other game mode, except for maybe Dominion.

As this is a game mode many players stick to almost exclusively, and has always been my favorite ever since I started in season one, the addition would definitely peak the interest of players that are currently almost forced to have a more casual approach to their favorite game mode. Of course I would never support the idea of a "duo queue" for this map, I feel solo queue is a necessary addition in order for this map to continue to evolve and shape itself within the community.

For those of you who took the time to read this, thank you. I am aware that this may be a strange idea, but isn't it those odd and thought provoking ideas that really get game development moving?

Although it's been a while since I've seriously played dominion, what major balance issues are you talking about? From what I recall, discussions about ranked dominion have almost always revolved around playerbase size rather than balance considerations. On a similar note, I'm not sure why you think ranked ARAM would be impractical. If anything, dominion and ARAM players are entirely forced to "have a more casual approach to their favorite game mode."

In any case, sure, solo ranked TT would be kinda fun. At the very least, it'd be a refreshing change from having to grind SR for solo ranking.

Realistically though, it's not happening. Riot's not likely to do anything with alternate game modes in the near future. You're going to have to find two friends if you want to play ranked TT.

There are certain bugs and balance issues as far as scaling goes to certain settings and items that are exclusive to the crystal scar. A quick search on google like "crystal scar item bugs" will probably point out a surprising amount of current issues.

I do also play ranked 3's with friends of mine (hence the season 2 Gold 3's cup as my profile icon)

I understand your own desire to see your favorite playlists brought into competitive play, but this is simply something I have talked about for a while, and something I personally would rather enjoy.
