Am I the only one that hates that team builder is treated as blind pick? I'm fine with no bans but I hate how they give you mirror match ups. Increase queue time a little so we can find a group to fight that does not have a team comp that has any of our champions in it.
Personally I enjoy it when I come across the mirror of the champ I am playing. It gives me the ability to see what I may be doing wrong or right, "in real time" in comparison to other player and the champ I have picked. It also gives me that extra incentive to play harder than my mirror.
Team Builder wasn't created for ranked players so much as it was created for normal players who don't like the drama that ensues when trying to call roles. I am not, nor will ever be a ranked player, and thus I enjoy getting my info and experience from "playing" not spending countless hours researching. (I still do research but only enough to get me started in a champ/role)
Instead of asking for somersetting to be taken away from the game that others enjoy why not just ask for a team builder option to be added to ranked play. It was my understanding that they are still attempting to find a way to do that. Have they stated otherwise?
Teambuilder right now is an alternative for blind pick and is usually for people that want to try new roles/compositions. Removing mirror matchups also removes the aspect of blind pick.
However they could create another version of teambuilder without the mirror matchups. (I don't know how queue times would be affected though)
Since you'll never encounter mirror matches in ranked play, I'm fine with them being removed from team builder, so long as it doesn't drastically increase queue times. Mirror matches can stay the domain of Custom games.
