Teambuilder - Role Selection, Rune/Mastery Selection
These aren't big issues and I don't mind the current set up of teambuilder; I was just curious about people's opinions on these suggestions.
In the current state of teambuilder, you lock in you champion with their runes and masteries before being matched against the enemy team. I was wondering if it would be a good decision to, after the champions have been locked in and an enemy team has been found:
- Display the enemy teams champions
- Provide a 10-20s window for both teams to adjust their runes and masteries according to the opposing team
I find that I will often adjust my runes and masteries for many champions depending on who I am expecting to face and how I expect the matchup will do. For example, when against Rumble or Leblanc I'll take MR quints and glyphs, against AD mid lanes I like taking armor seals and CDR glyphs, etc.
Do you think it would be a useful change or do you think it would increase the risk of people dodging queue if they don't like their lane matchup?
In addition, I was wondering about changing the method by which captains specify the role for a specific lane on their team. This is primarily an issue with bottom lane, where some supports (Alistar, Leona, Braum) occasionally queue as tanks and some (Zyra, Annie) can queue as mages. Currently, if you want to open the search to all possible supports, you can only choose 'Any Role', which can lead to marksmen being selected. I was wondering if the desired role selection could be changed to use a checklist, so you could specify something like 'Bottom Lane' AND ('Support' OR 'Mage' OR 'Tank').
