Dragon Death

Hey Rito, I have an idea about the Dragon's death. It would be a lot cooler and would make more sense if the Dragon's death more like that of the mythical Phoenix's birth and death cycle. Like when the dragon dies, it bursts into flames and then you see a tiny little dragon emerge from the flaming carcass of the big dragon, give an annoyed squawk to the champion that killed it, and fly away very quickly. That would make it seem the tiny dragon flew away to regain it's strength and become a big dragon again, then it would fly back again to fight. Or maybe when Dragon dies have the little dragon nestled in the flaming carcass of the big dragon (or turn the carcass of the dragon into flames and hot coals). It would stay nestled there, sleeping, until it got bigger and then became the big Dragon. Also make the tiny Dragon cute :D.

Would be epic, and the one that stays grows over time till the next spawn (6 minutes).

Wait, dragons aren't phoenixes. Why would a dragon have the nature of a phoenix, when neither of the two are related? I mean, If the dragon died and there was an egg that hatched the new dragon, then it would be obvious that the dragon was a dragon.

But if the dragon was reborn like a phoenix, then it would be a phoenix and not a dragon...

I actually prefer not to have a baby dragon involved at all. While some dragons are indeed 'cute', this particular dragon is ferocious and strong. The cute dragon would only require extra work and take away from focusing on the gameplay because you would be more focused on watching the dragon fly away than helping out your team.

However, I do like the idea of the dragon dying and its body burns to ashes (a little like Skyrim's). And besides, when there is an unoccupied lair, another adolescent dragon could just as easily check it out, decide that they like it, and call it their own home.

I'm good with how it is right now. The idea of a rebirth can be a little confusing especially in the middle of a team fight where a team has just killed the dragon. Then you have this little dragon, according to your design, in the middle of 10 champions. Wouldn't you think that would be just a little distracting?

Reminds me of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets when Dumbledores Phoenix dies and the new one is born from its ashes.

He's not a phoenix though?

Plus they don't need any more visual noise in the dragon fight than there will be already.

**I totally agree with you,i vote for the " Fly Away " because this death style will make more sense and more realistic. **

Thanks for the input.

i like that idea the phoenix death fly away because than everytime the new dragon comes back its not just a oh he appeared like magic or an oh its just another dragon that looks exactly the same. it would kinda bring a better feel to it in my opinion. same dragon just new birth like a phoenix

A bit like pulsefire ezreal. The dragon should have evolutions depending on how much it is worth. so late game it would be bigger than early game
