Aram is what hooked me on this game, now it is pushing me away.

I know the general response is that it is JUST aram and that it is not serious or important. I am a casual player that enjoyed playing aram since it was only available as a custom game. I don't take aram as serious as life and death, but I do try my best because it is the game type that I truly love. I own all champions but three, and I have no problem playing any champion in aram. The problem is what I continuously face on the other team. It seems that every game there are op aram champions on both sides making up the majority of both comps. Every game has a Janna, Sona, Ziggs, Karma, Lux....I truly feel like one out of every ten games is an actual fun random game, while the other nine are stomps by whichever side won the op rng contest. I feel like aram accounts are only increasing in number and it is ruining aram. I just wish that riot would address this somehow. I understand their attention is elsewhere, and I don't blame them for that at all. I am just sad that my favorite gametype that made me fall in love with this game is becoming something it wasn't intended to be.

Make it a champion-wide pool (all champs) and nail down a 60 min dodge timer. No one will dodge.

If ARAM was not in this game i'd of left about a year and a half ago. AKA, just after ARAM became an official game mode. I think i have almost 1500 ARAMs and maybe 750 normals over 2 years. I never really had fun in normals and even ARAMs are really shit nowadays. I'm just waiting for URF honestly.

they really need to either lock ARAM unless you have a majority of the champions to make it fair, or just have all the champions unlock for this game mode. its pretty sad that people need to make an ARAM account so that they can only use a champion they know how to use thus defeating the purpose of ARAM. i really hope something is done about this because sadly i enjoyed ARAM now-a-days its just boring when people know who they are going to get!

While having all Champions available by default in ARAM would alleviate this to some degree, there will always be a statistical tilt towards "OP" champs because of rerolls. While the numbers are made up, consider the following:

Say you have "Pick" Champions (OP champs that people almost always stick with 90% of the time) and you have "Reroll" Champions (that are not well suited for ARAM and are almost always rerolled when given the opportunity, so they are only chosen 10% of the time) and then you have just some "Average" Champions where its about 50/50 - the player might reroll them, might not. You are more likely to get a "Pick" champion than a "Reroll", because you get up to 3 shots at getting one if you have both of your rerolls. Add in the fact that you can swap your Pick champion for another player's Reroll champion and the odds continue to stack up.

So if you want ARAM to truly be aRam then you have to get rid of rerolls entirely and make dodging, as much as possible, not an option.

I feel a little bad playing ARAMs for this reason. The kind of champion I enjoy playing also tends to be OP on arams, and my champ pool is rather small (although, probably getting closer to 1/2 of champs) because I've focused more on buying runes than unlocking champs. Some day I'll unlock them all...

The thing about ARAM is that there are champions that hard to play against, but there is almost always the opportunity to win against even the most seemingly-op team. The other team is all adc's and op mid-laners and your entire team is made up of tanks? YOU CAN OUTSCALE THEM. People in ARAM just tend to give up so early but there will always be a way to win; nothing is guaranteed. Those 5 tanks? We won. You can win too if you just strategize :)

I wish it would be locked unless you own 20 champions. Then add the free ones on top of that. I mainly play aram (several hundred games) and do not have an aram account. But I'm running into other teams where that is what they have. I have close to 80 champs and keep getting the same 15 or so. Except yesterday. Yesterday I got singed 4 times. FOUR TIMES. Luckily I had re-rolls and someone dodged so I never had to play him. To be honest I've never dodged a match myself but probably 25% of all my ques end in a dodge. Really annoying. Oh and the afks has been worse in the past two weeks. I play every day pretty much. Past two weeks I've seen 1 or 2 afks in my game for 80% of my matches. -_- Please Riot, fix the champ select and eventually update the map please. Aram is super fun but it needs changes.

Yeah.... it's getting REALLY annoying since I would love to play Ahri or Sona on an aram and instead it's almost always been Orianna , Karma or Soraka ..... though I'm getting average of 15 kills with them but goat lady, it gets old doing the same thing over and over...
