Queue Dodge for the Good of the Land
So when I play normal blinds, there are, of course, a bevy of children who need a whippin', and adults who need 2. Generally speaking, this doesn't bother me, and I always make sure not to select a champ, because if there are blatantly toxic players, or two players who argue over the only position they know how to play, I dodge. 6 minutes is a small price to pay to not have to deal with that crap. I only use this for cases when clearly the experience is going to be overwhelmingly negative, even if we win. I think it's unreasonable to autolock, and one should always be willing to play other positions, even if you won't be very good at it.
That said, I had an experience this morning that made me realize there's a different way to look at this. I had 45 minutes to find a game and play, and when I finally got a match, one guy autolocked jungle, and another cried about it, and then ALSO locked in jungle. Now I'm not saying that you can't have 2 people with smite, and win, but there's no way this was gonna be anything other than 2 extremely childish people being awful for the 30-60 minutes. So I dodged, and as I did so, I realized that I'm the one getting penalized for their childishness, even though, realistically I did everyone on my team a favor. The babies got to move to get away from each other and the adults got to get away from the babies. And now I don't get to squeeze a game in before work.
Surely, there has to be a better way. (No there isn't, and don't call me Shirley.)
I believe in us, Riot. Between you and me, I'm sure we can sort this out. Maybe we need to be able to report pre-game, instead of just after it. Maybe the queue dodge can be tweaked. Heck, give me a maturity Elo rating, and that would solve a LOT of problems, though calibration would be tricky. Maybe a button that lets everyone on a team dodge before the match starts, similar to surrender (really just for Blinds). The possibilities are limitless.
