Queue Dodge for the Good of the Land

So when I play normal blinds, there are, of course, a bevy of children who need a whippin', and adults who need 2. Generally speaking, this doesn't bother me, and I always make sure not to select a champ, because if there are blatantly toxic players, or two players who argue over the only position they know how to play, I dodge. 6 minutes is a small price to pay to not have to deal with that crap. I only use this for cases when clearly the experience is going to be overwhelmingly negative, even if we win. I think it's unreasonable to autolock, and one should always be willing to play other positions, even if you won't be very good at it.

That said, I had an experience this morning that made me realize there's a different way to look at this. I had 45 minutes to find a game and play, and when I finally got a match, one guy autolocked jungle, and another cried about it, and then ALSO locked in jungle. Now I'm not saying that you can't have 2 people with smite, and win, but there's no way this was gonna be anything other than 2 extremely childish people being awful for the 30-60 minutes. So I dodged, and as I did so, I realized that I'm the one getting penalized for their childishness, even though, realistically I did everyone on my team a favor. The babies got to move to get away from each other and the adults got to get away from the babies. And now I don't get to squeeze a game in before work.

Surely, there has to be a better way. (No there isn't, and don't call me Shirley.)

I believe in us, Riot. Between you and me, I'm sure we can sort this out. Maybe we need to be able to report pre-game, instead of just after it. Maybe the queue dodge can be tweaked. Heck, give me a maturity Elo rating, and that would solve a LOT of problems, though calibration would be tricky. Maybe a button that lets everyone on a team dodge before the match starts, similar to surrender (really just for Blinds). The possibilities are limitless.

To everyone saying "Try team builder," I almost exclusively play it, but from the OP's "I have 45 min before work" perspective, he would perhaps have to sit in queue for 10 before he could enter a match, supposing he chooses the role of his choice (10 minutes be the upper range for queuing for mid, top and occasionally ADC).

I mained Support for almost all of Season 4, and using Team Builder as a Support main is great: you get teams offered to you in seconds. Also, if a team is poorly constructed (jg karth, ADC soraka etc. as examples), the Support can leave for a better team. Queuing as anything but support, you're going to have a wait. Riot really ought to test removing blind ques for a couple weeks - I think the number of instances like the one mentioned by the OP will dwindle to near nonexistence. Without Blind to compete with, Team Builder ques should plummet to near instantaneous.

Team builder is good, but queue times can be long. I do like the idea of a team eject button in champ select though.

Last two times I tried blind, there were ragers at champ select. I played through the first one, which continued raging the entire match and was a terrible experience, and I dodged the second. There are drawbacks to the team eject concept - such as massively increased queue times due to eject after eject after eject. A report at champ select could be an improvement though.
