Game Mode: MINION OVERRUN
An interesting alternative game mode would be one in which the MINIONS are a much more serious threat - even more serious than champions. Not necessarily stronger minions, but more of them ... *HORDES *of them. Imagine a game mode where the amount of minions was 2x, 3x, ... 10xs more than in current modes. (zombies!)
The increase in minions would require one to pay more attention to defending your base from tons of minions and/or advancing your own minions hordes, rather than (how most people currently play) killing champions, taking towers, and .. oh yeah, minions too.
So something like this:
- Played on SR
- Maybe 3 Champs, instead of 5?
- Minions start at 2xs normal amount and increase drastically as game progresses.
- Defeated jungle creeps (except Baron?) immediately respawn (as friendly/allied) and continue to the nearest (or chosen) lane to help your teams minions push.
- Game is won, as always, by destroying enemy nexus.
- Alterations (or buffs) to Turrets can be purchased in shop:** Cause allied turrets to do More Damage to minions and less damage to champs**.
- Short-term waves of superminions and/or increased minion output can be purchased at the shop.
I think these additional purchase choices would also be an interesting shift in gold efficiency - of course more gold would be available, allowing for additional G to be spent handling the extra minions. Nonetheless, gold-per-minion would likely need to be scaled back to compensate for the increase in minions.
