Legendary mode

There should be a mode which filters people based on how good they are. There can be many ways to implement this system, but I'll only describe one. In order for this system to take place, only players who have played either 100 games with a champion, have a 60% win ratio, or have a beautiful K/D/A ratio will be able to participate. Furthermore, they will only be able to play champions that meet any of these criterias. Pros of this system: -Players bring their A game to normals, so it this will be very good practice -Players feel awesome about themselves when playing their best champions, then why not pit these players against one another? -This will bring the rank feel to normals. In other words, players can triple or quad-que and still enjoy the rank feel -Normals have become very boring for diamond players who are quing with lower-elo friends. This results is them only playing ranked games. Having this mode will give them incentives to play normal games with their friends. One incentive is that they will feel more pleasure when winning against someone who they know is a good player. Another incentive is that this will ensure more challenge for these players, rather than a 1-sided waste of time. -This is an example of how normals is losing its incentive over time: I was playing normals and 40 minutes in we were about to destroy the enemy nexus but decided to surrender instead. Why? Because IP no longer has worth so there is no material reason to win a game.

How will this be implemented? I believe that this mode should temporarily replace teambuilder, since teambuilder is already not largely used for matchmaking. The reason that it should replace rather than be added on top is because more people would be willing to participate when given less gaming-mode options. Another reason why this should replace and take the form of teambuilder is that given the restrictions, we want to avoid a situation where there are two players in the team who are really good at support. Furthermore, teambuilder ensures that people get the roles they want when playing this game mode.

Conclusion: Normals is losing its worth over time, especially for players who don't find the prize (IP) as useful. This game mode provides a fix for this.

so basically you want a 5 hour queue for this mode? because i think the queue times for this will be worse than challenger based on the requirements

Sounds interesting, but it shouldn't take out teambuilder, which fulfills its own niche in the game modes

Bump, as that one high elo friend in the group, I can attest to this.

So basically you would want a restricted normal game mode where you can play with only friends that also meet the restrictions? Idk what kind of demand for that there would be. I'm plat III and I'm already high enough to where I can safely say there are not many of us up here....nor many of us that have any high "lolskill" champions that would furthermore qualify. Kda means absolutely nothing on its own as well, making for a very subjective determination. Even scores like from sites like "lolskill" don't really represent skill level very well, but more so the amount of games etc and in certain elos. You either make this gamemode cool, but too restrictive, or too inclusive and thus practically the same as the current blind pick mmr system. If anything, this mode should be a different ranked game mode actually. Instead of standard ranked, you can use only your best champions as established by 20 games + of a champion in the normal ranked mode.
