Lore-related Gametypes or Maps

Hello,

League of Legends is an evolving game, with Riot Games always trying new mutations of their current gametypes. We've seen the coming and going of Hexakill, URF, Ascension, etc. In the past, though I have not been playing for that long, Riot apparently had been changing Summoner's Rift to match the weather of various seasons.

With the recent, although disliked, lore change announced by Riot, I believe it would be an amazing step forward for League of Legends if gametypes and maps specifically exploring the lore of Runeterra would arise. It could just be pitting a Demacian team versus a Noxian team in crucial historical battles in unique locations (pvp), or a group of brave souls standing up to the might of the Shadow Isles (Co-Op, like a defense?), whom eventually give way to the Onslaught of Shadows. Either way, the lore is something any game should continue to improve for immersion.

Howling Abyss is a great example of such, with the shopkeepers speaking snippets of lore to champions related to the Freijlord lore. Yet, it misses the "immersive" part. The ARAM game-mode that accompanies is literally quite random, but fun.

In essence, I believe Riot should further enhance the lore experience, and by no means just through reading or videos. Hell, a new separate game is fine too. (Legends of Runeterra?)

Thank you for your time.

I think Piltover vs Zaun should be a new mode, in a highly edited Summoner's Rift. Any champions, of course, like with Ascension, but instead of normal turrets, inhibitors, and even the nexus, you have 'upgraded' versions of them. The turrets may have longer range, do more damage, attack several targets with missiles (like Runaan's) etc, while the Inhibitors will actually be huge mechs that fight back, small boss battles that the enemy team will make much harder on you. And this can go much further, like adding regenerating minefields, electric wall traps, mechanical jungle monsters, a polluted river with a huge mutant Nashor in it, and so forth. If you really want to make it tough, maybe there aren't just neutral monsters, but neutral Caitlyn and Teemo traps that spawn in the jungle randomly.
