[Suggestion] Greeting Message for Team Builder
Simple addition for Team Builder. When creating a team, have a little text box where you can add a greeting message. This message would display to anyone who joins your team. It should display only once, and only to the newly joined player, as to avoid chat spam for everyone else already on the team.
Messages could range from a simple hello, to the idea of the team comp, to explanations of new/non-meta strategies.
Examples of some greeting messages: --Hello! Welcome to the team! --Welcome. This is a casual game for fun people. --Running Dual AD bot for kill lane strat --Using Smite mid for smite weapon and slow/stun. I've done this before! --This is a tryhard match, bring your A game! Weakness will not be tolerated! --Ayyyyyy lmao --Duo with <name>. Trying double Jungle --I know Soraka mid doesn't work anymore, but I think I can make it work. Please don't leave!
So on and so forth
I'm sure the gamut of messages the community will come up with far exceeds this paltry list, but you can see how this can be useful. Even a vitrolic, "Bruce's mother is a(n) <insult>," or a whimsical, "Something smells funny..." can instantly give you a quick idea of not only the team creators attitude, but of the type of player that may find this team enjoyable. Perhaps you like playing with players who are crass and critical. Maybe you're looking for a game with chill people in a calm setting, or jokers who are not focused on taking the game seriously. Perhaps you would have seen a mid with smite and instantly left thinking it was a troll, or someone who forgot to change their summoner spells. This small change can give team creators the opportunity to attract like minded individual to their team without having to quickly spam chat every time a new player joins.
Although I have only a baseline understanding of programming and engineering, and am not at all familiar with the structure Riot has build around the chat functionality of the team builder screen, I can't see this being a difficult addition. I believe a quick and (assumingly) simple addition like this could go a long way to enhancing the clarity and enjoyment of the Team Builder mode experience.
Ideas, suggestions, criticisms are welcome.
