Hopefully you are making a new tutorial, and if you are i would like to give you some ideas.

  1. Chat- Before I played this game I had no idea how to use chat before my Silver IV friend showed me, and even though a lot of the toxicity comes from chat it is still a huge way to communicate with your team. Besides how else are you going to tell your team to group up?
  2. WARDING- We need a little warding part where you teach the player what wards are and what they do. These are all my ideas, dislike or like I don't really care I just wanted to point those things out. Edit: PINGS!!!

Here's a script idea for how the ward tutorial should go.

  1. Player chooses a lane
  2. Player does typical lane stuff as directed by the tutorial
  3. Player receives a ward (or a trinket) and is directed to place the ward in a designated bush (dependent on which lane he chose)
  4. Once the ward is placed down, the nearest enemy bot in a different lane leaves its lane to "gank" the player via the path that is warded.
  5. Once the enemy is spotted by the ward, drop a big red alert symbol on it.

The player now understands the importance of wards.

Yes please. I hate the tutorial in this game, just because (Although they might have changed it by now) of the mage tutorial.

Wanna know why? No? Well too bad cause I'm telling you anyways.

So when I started this game and hopped on the tutorial it showed me 3 roles: Ashe as the ADC, Garen as the Tank (Even though [At least at the time] he's really more of an off-tank), and Ryze as the Mage. Now, in video games with classes I always love (Unless they're done poorly) magic users and stealth users the most. So when I saw the mage class I went, "Um, YEAH!" and picked Ryze. This is what happened.

This is the Mage class. The mage class focuses on damage with their abilities rather then their basic attacks. Their damage scales with ability power.

Their damage scales with ability power.

Their damage scales with ability power.

Their damage scales with ability power.

Their damage scales with ability power.

Ryze. Scales. With. Ability Power. Ryze. Possibly the only AP champion in the game who does not efficiently scale with ability power.

When I got in game and was reading his abilities and saw his passive mentioning that he scales with mana too I didn't think, "Oh, then I should build mana and only mana and nothing but mana." I thought, "Oh, well that's a nice little bonus to his damage."

And when the suggested items suggested SO much mana I was all, "But where will I get all my damage? I know mana gives me some but I'm a mage and I scale off of ability power. So I think I should really get ability power."

Because of this I hated Ryze because he died so quickly, and did no damage.

Seriously. I know Ryze was 450 IP and everything, BUT SO WAS ANNIE AND SHE ACTUALLY PROPERLY SCALED OFF OF AP GAREARHASDJFGHAJHFDUFGHSJHGJ.

Ok I'm done now.

When I first started I remember it took me a while to find out how to use the ping system, that would probably help in the tutorial as well.

Could we also have something for jungling too? Sending Ashe or Ryze into the jungle at about 5 minutes in seems rather silly.

That's a point. We need different starting champions too. Annie as the Mage (since she's simple to play and scales with ability power as normal), Jinx as the ADC (plays similarly to Ashe but actually does some damage) and perhaps Alistar or Cho'Gath or someone as the Tank? And maybe throw in a Support champion as well.
