Question about Ranked Rewards

Hello Board.

I remember reading somewhere that the Ranked Rewards are tied to the highest league achieved in a particular season and not the league you're in by the time the season ends.

e.g. If you're promoted to Platinum but then fall back to Gold, you'll still get the Platinum rewards for the particular season.

Is this true? I can't find any info on it. I might have seen it on the client.

As far as I know, that was only the case back in Season 2 or so when Riot was messing around Elo and Leagues. For all other times, I think rewards have been based on current ranking at the end of the season.

All I know is that I got judgement Kayle from season 1, then Rito decided to be assholes and deny me seasonal skins every year since then just because I refuse to play on the shithole farmfest of SR.
