I have had 14 Dom games in a row where someone was AFK.
Is this happening to others or is this a weird coincidence?

It's the latest "attempting to reconnect" bug. There's threads all over the place about it, and the 4.18 mega bug thread is full of reports the same problem. Personally, I have been afflicted by crippling lag spikes all patch long, so that would about explain the AFK issue.
